Mujib Centenary
Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the father of our nation, was born on 17 March 1920 in Tungipan a village in Gopalganj District in Bangladesh. Mujib Centenary is the observance of 100th birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. It was observed all over Bangladesh and around the world where Bengalis live. As part of the observance, the Bangladesh government undertook many developmental programs such as 100% electricity coverage in Bangladesh, providing housing facilities for the homeless people, eradication of poverty, provision of ICT facilities to more people, etc. Short films and documentaries have been made to celebrate the occasion. The viewers of the film and the documentaries will have a better idea about Bangabandhu, his courageous leadership and his personal life Following the global coronavirus outbreak and the identification of infected patients in Bangladesh, a number of programmes to mark the Mujib Centenary were cancelled and curtailed. At the same time, it was announced that the visit of the invited heads of state of different countries has also been canceled. Our next generation will be benefitted from Mujib Centenary as they will know more about Bangabandhu, bis patriotism, leadership, boldness and personal life and adopt his good qualities.

জাতির পিতা বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমান ১৯২০ সালের ১৭ মার্চ বাংলাদেশের গোপালগঞ্জ জেলার টুঙ্গিপান গ্রামে জন্মগ্রহণ করেন। মুজিব শতবর্ষ বঙ্গবন্ধু শেখ মুজিবুর রহমানের জন্মশতবার্ষিকী উদযাপন। এটি সারা বাংলাদেশ এবং বিশ্বজুড়ে যেখানে বাঙালিরা বাস করে সেখানে পালন করা হয়। পালনের অংশ হিসেবে, বাংলাদেশ সরকার বাংলাদেশে 100% বিদ্যুত কভারেজ, গৃহহীন মানুষের জন্য আবাসন সুবিধা প্রদান, দারিদ্র্য বিমোচন, অধিক সংখ্যক মানুষের জন্য আইসিটি সুবিধা প্রদান ইত্যাদির মতো অনেক উন্নয়নমূলক কর্মসূচী গ্রহণ করেছে। স্বল্পদৈর্ঘ্য চলচ্চিত্র এবং তথ্যচিত্র তৈরি করা হয়েছে উপলক্ষ উদযাপন করা. চলচ্চিত্র এবং তথ্যচিত্রের দর্শকরা বঙ্গবন্ধু, তার সাহসী নেতৃত্ব এবং তার ব্যক্তিগত জীবন সম্পর্কে আরও ভাল ধারণা পাবেন বৈশ্বিক করোনভাইরাস প্রাদুর্ভাবের পরে এবং বাংলাদেশে সংক্রামিত রোগীদের সনাক্তকরণের পরে, মুজিব শতবর্ষ উদযাপনের জন্য বেশ কয়েকটি কর্মসূচি বাতিল এবং হ্রাস করা হয়েছিল। একই সঙ্গে বিভিন্ন দেশের আমন্ত্রিত রাষ্ট্রপ্রধানদের সফরও বাতিল ঘোষণা করা হয়েছে। মুজিব শতবর্ষে আমাদের পরবর্তী প্রজন্ম উপকৃত হবে কারণ তারা বঙ্গবন্ধু, দেশপ্রেম, নেতৃত্ব, সাহসিকতা ও ব্যক্তিজীবন সম্পর্কে আরও জানবে এবং তার ভালো গুণাবলি গ্রহণ করবে।
